Summary:

Special qualifications recommended:
The volunteer should have the ability to organize activities and should be motivated to work with disadvantaged young people. The work with disadvantaged youth requires a stable perspective in life to give support and perspective to young people with fewer opportunities. The volunteers should be active, open minded and sociable. He/she should have a sense of initiative and a sense of humor.

Description of the hosting organization and hosting project:
Center for street children "Hope" is founded in the summer of 2008.

Mission of Center: is to reduce the number of children living on the streets of Cahul in re-socialization and reintegration into their family and society.

Objectives of the project are:
- to prevent juvenile delinquency, family integration of children, school and professional integration, improving connection parents – child;
- to provide child health services, according to the needs of children - from personal hygiene, healthcare, housing, literacy classes, psychological evaluation, to cultural activities (music festivals, music classes and handiwork) and sports.
Center has a capacity to host up to 20 children.
In a Center children are working on building personal and social life with help of local counterparts.

Description of volunteer tasks:
Volunteers will work primarily with youngsters 6-14 years old group.

Main tasks of volunteers will be:
- Volunteers will organize leisure time for children, with teachers, so they will be assistants
- Play with children, with his / her creativity and games he / she knows;
- Help to organize tours and excursions to lead groups of children;
- To participate in the workshops of painting and crafts;
- Take part in theater and music groups;
- Helping children with their daily needs and responsibilities;

Project language: Romanian, Russian, English

Accommodation: In host families or an apartment. Each volunteer will have own room with all necessary facilities.

Description of the hosting organization and hosting project:
Volunteers will work primarily with the age group 10-25 years old.

Main tasks of volunteers will be:
- to help the party organization and trainings for youth on creativity development;
- to work with children on photo, video, paining exhibitions;
- to organize and to participate in the art events with local youngsters;
- to help the organization of creative circles such as "camera" "circle dance" or other circles;
- to encourage young people to become active citizens;
- to help to organize tours and excursions to lead groups of children;
